Dr. Brett J. Christensen provides comprehensive medical eye care with particular expertise in ocular disease management and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Christensen has extensive clinical experience diagnosing and managing glaucoma and complex contact lens cases, including gas-permeable lenses. His training across multiple high-volume clinical settings has prepared him to care for patients of all ages and visual needs, from routine vision correction to advanced ocular health conditions. Dr. Christensen is dedicated to enhancing quality of life by helping patients achieve clear, comfortable vision through personalized treatment plans.
Education & Medical Training
Dr. Christensen earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in 2018. During his clinical training, he completed diverse rotations at the Nationwide Vision Disease Center, Midwestern University Eye Institute, Accent Eye Care, and M&M Eye Institute, gaining broad experience in ocular disease, primary care optometry, and contact lens management. Prior to optometry school, he graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, emphasis in Zoology, and a minor in Chemistry, and also holds an Associate of Science degree. His early optometric experience includes roles as an optician, ophthalmic assistant, and optical lab assistant, providing a strong foundation in both the clinical and technical aspects of eye care.

Dr. Christensen graduated with multiple academic and clinical honors, including the Marchon Practice Management Award of Excellence, Clinical Excellence in Gas Permeable Contact Lenses, and the Excellence in Community Service Award. He received numerous competitive scholarships, including the VSP/AAOF Practice Excellence Scholarship, Walman Optical Scholarships, and the GWECO Scholarship. He is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and was inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. During optometry school, he was also recognized as a Student Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).
