He has over 20 years of experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract, and refractive surgery. Dr. Lim combines advanced surgical skill with patient-focused care, creating personalized treatment plans for a wide range of eye conditions. His expertise includes laser cataract surgery with premium IOLs, laser glaucoma treatments, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and refractive surgeries such as: LASIK, PRK and EVO ICL, minor oculoplastic surgeries such as blepharoplasty, as well as management of ocular trauma and retinal laser treatments.

Dr. Lim earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree cum laude from the University of Health Sciences / College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internship at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Southern California / Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California. He also holds a BA in Psychology and a BS in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Lim completed specialized refractive surgery training at the US Navy Refractive Course in San Diego, California, and at the Doheny Eye Institute, with additional clinical experience at Warfighter Laser Eye Center in Dayton, Ohio, and Midwest Eye Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Military Service & Academic Leadership

Dr. Lim is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard, with a distinguished 28-year military career that included combat deployment to Iraq, where he led and performed critical ocular trauma surgeries. He continues to support resident education as an adjunct faculty member while maintaining an active clinical practice.

Personal Interests

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Lim enjoys golfing, exploring new foods, and traveling. He also finds fulfillment in teaching and mentoring future ophthalmologists.
