Dr. Skye Puls, O.D., specializes in ocular disease, with expertise in diagnosing and managing anterior segment disorders such as keratitis, cataracts, and uveitis; posterior segment disorders such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma; and in understanding how systemic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders affect eye health.

Dr. Puls is passionate about making patients feel heard and improving their quality of life. She approaches care with empathy, a listening ear, and treats each patient like family.

Education and Medical Training

Dr. Skye Puls, O.D., joined M&M Eye Institute during her residency in ocular disease. She attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Puls then graduated with honors from Midwestern University – Chicago College of Optometry in Downers Grove, IL.

Academic Honors & Affiliations

While in optometry school, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, participated in several student clubs and leadership roles, and earned a clinical distinction award along with an excellence in low vision rehabilitation award. She is a member of professional organizations including the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).

Personal Interests

Dr. Puls grew up in Iowa and enjoys staying active and connected outside of the clinic. In her free time, she loves spending time with her significant other, playing with her two dogs, working out, exploring new restaurants, watching movies, and shopping.
